1. How long have you been doing CrossFit?

I started at CF Reflexion (Beaverton) in March 2018.

2. What class time and location do you regularly attend?

I attend the 5:30 am class in Beaverton.

3. What made you start CrossFit?

I was obese and just got diagnosed with depression.

4. Favorite CrossFit movements?

1. 2 min rest

2. Hang power cleans.

3. Farmer carry

5. Least favorite?

7. Hobbies outside CF?

Golf, lettering, water activities, forwarding memes.

8. Tell us something that most people don’t know about you

When I was younger I called in sick to play golf with my roommates. On the fourth hole, I got a hole in one. The ball left the club face, flew through the air 165 yards, and landed in the cup without the ball ever touching the ground. Bad news was I couldn’t tell anyone from work.

9. What was your first CrossFit WOD?

BASELINE

10. Biggest effect that CrossFit has had on your life?

My overall quality of life has greatly improved. No more non CF related aches and pains.My blood pressure on March 7, 2018 was 167/113. My last Dr. appointment it was 118/70.My weight on March 7, 2018 was 332 lbs. Today it’s 256 lbs.My nieces can’t catch me and I can carry all three of them on my back at once. Ages 3,5, and 7.

11. Anything else you would like to include?

Shout out to Shawn for teaching me about weight loss, ketones, insulin release, and mercilessly beating me at Corn Hole.-Shout out to Ashley who always lets me ask questions I already know the answers to and she continues to reassure me, on Thursday, that she will keep the gym open long enough for me to finish. -Shout out to all the friends in the 4:30pm class who are/were nice, helpful, encouraging, and welcoming when I first started.-Shout out to the 5:30am class for inspiring me to be strong and fast like them.

Patient consistent action is the key to progress.
