1. How long have you been doing CrossFit?
I’ve been doing CrossFit for a little over 3 years now.
2. Class time?
I attend the Beaverton location at 9:00. It’s the best time to wod and I’m positive we have the most fun and we take the most pee breaks.
3. What made you start doing CrossFit?
Before crossfit I ran a lot and did probably 18 half marathons. I also did boot camps. I was getting burned out on running and wanted something that I could measure strength and success. My husband, Jim, has been at Reflexion for about a year, so I thought I’d give it a try.
4. Favorite CrossFit movement?
My favorite movement would probably be back squat.
5. Least favorite movement?
Least favorite movement would be a snatch.
6. If you could design a CrossFit WOD, what would it be?
If I designed a wod it would have wallballs, plate sit-ups, jump rope and coffee.
7. Hobbies outside of CrossFit?
Keeping my three children alive is my main hobby currently. I also love animals and am collecting chickens and soon will have goats. I also like to crochet, craft, garden and bake.
8. Tell us something most people don’t know about you
Something most people don’t know about me…. In my 22 years of driving I’ve never gotten a ticket. And pizza is my all time favorite food.
9. What was your first CrossFit WOD?
I honestly don’t remember what my first wod was. I joined right before the open started and sign up for the open. I remember there being heavy as possible cleans. I was brand new to cleans and had Shawn, Ashley and a few other people cheering and coaching me. I think the support that Reflexion members and coaches give each other is awesome!
10. Biggest effect CrossFit has has on your life?
I think the biggest effect CrossFit has had on me it that it has taught me that being a thic strong badass woman is okay. (And even encouraged) Also, I have found my people who get my crude and off beat humor and who are genuinely kind and caring.
